This bathroom was updated with a custom 36” x 60” walk-in shower, designed for a second-floor layout with the drain positioned on the left to properly align with existing plumbing. The shower features a solid white custom base paired with oversized smooth acrylic wall surrounds in the Metapeake color, extending fully to the ceiling at approximately 96.5 inches, creating a seamless, enclosed look.
A wall-to-wall custom inset niche shelf was built directly into the surround, finished entirely in the matching Metapeake wall color for continuity, with black starboard detailing for contrast. Additional functionality was added with a matte black footrest with integrated shelf and a 12” matte black grab bar, providing support without disrupting the clean lines of the design.
The shower is finished with matte black Gibson shower trim and a rain shower and handheld combination, offering flexible use while maintaining a cohesive finish throughout. A 60” x 74” Denali sliding barn-style clear glass enclosure with matte black hardware defines the space while keeping sightlines open and allowing the darker tones of the surround to remain the focal point.
The result is a structured, modern shower with intentional contrast, built-in storage, and durable materials selected for daily use and long-term performance.
